About the Spring Conference

NASCA’s Spring Conference provides a venue to share state best practices and build relationships to help state chief administrators in their work to transform state government. 

Sessions will focus on process improvement and evidence/fact-based organization through interactive presentations from the State of Illinois and the State of Nebraska. Attendees will also learn about data analytics using private sector examples and case studies that can be transferred to the public sector.

NASCA Corporate Partners may participate in the Spring Conference through the below sponsorship opportunities, which are offered on a first-come first served basis. To keep attendance ratios desirable for all participants, registration for private sector participation is limited to sponsoring corporate partners.

Public Sector:

Registration for the 2018 Spring Conference is open to all State Administrators and their approved deputies or designees.  Travel reimbursement of up to $350, one night hotel accommodations, and registration for the primary state member to attend the Spring Conference are included in the state dues.

*State members can register additional guests (i.e. a deputy) for $275 as long as space permits. 


Private Sector:

Private sector participation is limited to sponsoring Corporate Partners and is limited by the sponsorship level:

  • Presenting Sponsors receive four complimentary registrations.
  • Livestream Partners receive four complimentary registrations.
  • Transforming Sponsors receive two complimentary registrations.
  • Event sponsors receive one complimentary registration.

*Sponsoring corporate partner may purchase one additional registration for $325 as long as space permits.

The 2018 Spring Conference will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bloomington - Minneapolis South

Primary state member attendees - If you are registering as the primary state attendee you do not need to make hotel reservations. Accommodations are coordinated through NASCA's headquarters and hotel confirmations will be emailed to you a few weeks prior to the event. Your $350 travel reimbursement, one night hotel accommodations and registration to attend the Institute are provided as part of your state membership. You will receive a link to process the travel reimbursement immediately after the event. The hotel cutoff date is March 23, 2018.


Additional state attendees and non-member state attendees - You do not need to make hotel reservations. Accommodations are coordinated through NASCA's headquarters and hotel confirmations will be emailed to you a few weeks prior to the event. You will be responsible for your own travel and board. Please plan to provide a payment method to the hotel (such as a major credit card) onsite. Room rates are $139 per night plus tax. The hotel cut off date is March 23, 2018. Space is limited and NASCA anticipates the room block to sell out. 


Corporate Sponsors and Corporate Partners - You will be responsible for reserving your hotel accommodations under the prevailing rate. Please contact the hotel at 1-952-835-7800 or visit DoubleTree by Hilton Bloomington - Minneapolis South to make your reservation. Please book your stay as soon as possible.

 
 


Transportation

The recommended airport is Minneapolis-St.Paul International (MSP), which is approximately 15 minutes from the hotel. Transportation is complimentary from Courtsey Bus. Please contact the hotel at 1-952-835-7800 on information on shuttle service arrangements.

Airport Shuttle Serivce Hours - 7 days a week:

  • Shuttle FROM: 6:00 am - Midnight
  • Shuttle TO: 5:30 am - 11:30 pm

*please note that the shuttle arrival/pick up from MSP Airport is at the top of every hour. 


Primary State Member Travel Reimbursement

NASCA provides a travel reimbursement of up to $350, one night hotel accommodations, and registration for the primary state member to attend the Spring Conference. This benefit is providied by your state dues. The primary state member (state chief administrator) may permit a proxy to use this benefit. Please indicate in the registration process if you are the proxy recipient. A link to submit travel receipts for up to $350 in airfare, baggage fees, parking, travel meals or other reasonable travel expenses will be provided to primary members or proxy recipients on the last day of the conference.
